Actress Jasmine Suraya Chin, 36, expressed her panic after a new wildfire broke out in northern Los Angeles, United States, on Wednesday. Although her residence in West Hollywood remains unaffected due to its distance from the fire’s location, Jasmine is still concerned about the situation.
“Everyone is shocked, how could it catch fire again? Today, I’ve been receiving constant updates about the wildfire. From 10 acres, the fire has now spread to 11,000 acres. I really need to stay alert, but honestly, I’ve been scared ever since the first fire started,” she told Harian Metro.
The second wildfire occurred near a lake about 56 kilometers from LA, prompting evacuation orders for 31,000 residents around Santa Clarita.
According to Jasmine, the panic escalated when her friend decided to relocate immediately.
“My friend has already packed up and will be moving to Miami tomorrow. I’m also considering relocating temporarily, but I still have classes and no time off,” said Jasmine, who is currently pursuing her studies at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in LA.
The Paskal actress also shared her excitement about returning to Malaysia in April.
“I miss my homeland so much, especially all the delicious food. At the same time, my manager is in discussions with a production company about potential acting projects during my three-month break,” she added.
The fast-spreading wildfire has caused widespread concern, but Jasmine hopes the situation will be under control soon so the affected residents can return to safety. – BOOM!
